Bin Laden 50 years old today and no one knows if he's dead or alive

New Delhi, 10 March 2007. - Dead or alive, today is the day that marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of the most wanted man in so far this century: Osama Bin Laden, terrorist or hero of the resistance, and that no one knows whether in Pakistan or malmurió lives badly.

While Bin Laden awakened mixed feelings among the citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan, no government wants to talk about the fiftieth anniversary of perhaps the most threatening and symbolic enemy.
But what is certain is that without the iconic figure of the fiftieth anniversary today, few of the current position in the global geo-strategic map make sense: since the war in Somalia until the Afghan Taliban, all conflicts in the area are transfixed by the message Bin Laden.
Born in 1957 into a family Saudi billionaire Osama will go down in history as the man who planned and financed from abroad, the largest terrorist attack ever recorded on U.S. soil, the September 11, 2001 (11-S).
The activity of the fundamentalist, however, had begun in the early 1980s, in which his active against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan led him to create a data record in the pointing of the names and potential fighters, and today is widely known as "Al Qaeda" base.
After the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, bin Laden returned home, but his criticism of the Saudi monarchy was forced into exile in Sudan, where he was expelled in 1996.
Saudi authorities had retired shortly before his nationality, and that bin Laden was a stateless person and sought refuge in the country of the Taliban, who had conquered Kabul with the support of Americans.
From Afghanistan, he directed the activities of Al-Qaeda in 33 countries.
Apart from the 11-S, U.S. believes bin Laden is responsible for several bombings over the past decade, but none of them had committed the impact of the Twin Towers of New York, with which sadly demonstrated that globalization had come to terrorism.
The 19 terrorists who were part of the cell for the attack made the biggest terrorist attack in history, with nearly three thousand dead.
United States froze the assets shortly after Bin Laden's bank, and, forgetting their support for the Taliban militia, which became reflected in cinema in films like "Rambo 3", began military operations against Afghanistan on October 7 , 2001.
After the fall two months after the Afghan town of Mazar i Sharif, bin Laden fled with about 200 loyal and allegedly took refuge in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan border.
Since then, many suggest that Bin Laden is hiding in tribal areas of western Pakistan, but his exact whereabouts is unknown and has only shown signs of life in a handful of videos, the last dated in 2004 - and tapes in which has threatened new attacks and has offered truces.
Alive or dead, Bin Laden has between Taliban and Iraqi insurgents convening power that goes beyond the rarity of his speeches: each word of the leader and his lieutenants hidden for hundreds of militants is a direct mandate to impact thousands of miles away.
In the past, some information and he was dead because of a typhus could fulminarle somewhere in that country, although the lack of confirmation of the secret services added skepticism to the news of his death.
Having completed 50 years now, one of the big questions that the West must ask is whether, in fact, the 25 million U.S. dollars offered for his capture pursuing a shadow.
