Networks: Eurasian Hub

March 20, 2012

Some time ago agundez.net is part of the study group Eurasian Hub , but I would include a few words on this platform but still recent establishment with some interesting initiatives to his credit (including the book "The Return of Eurasia" ), and born with the idea of providing academic advice on the Eurasian space, analyzing conflicts, studying the social situation in these countries and keep track of their political development.

In its official launch, the creators of the initiative is defined as follows:

Eurasian Hub is a platform independent, apolitical, for the exchange of ideas, projects and discussions of academic advising. Of academics, diplomats, journalists and all sorts of specialist analysts, Eurasian Hub focuses on the following geographical areas: Eastern Europe and Southeast (Balkans), Black Sea countries, Turkey, Caucasus, Iran, former Soviet republics of Central Asia Pakistan and Afghanistan. Eurasian Hub is open to Spanish-speaking experts interested in these cultures and countries.

Although Eurasian Hub does not include India among its priorities directly, I know that within it there is growing interest in India's position not only about the Central Asian space, but also how their own internal development may affect the actual development regional. The range of topics is broad and deep: ranging from skirmishes with China over control of oil in the new Soviet republics to the already difficult relations with Pakistan, its traditional "nominal neutrality" toward the Arab world and his own aspiration to become one of the global powers entered century.

I find I do not think any American to say that South Asia remains a very little known by the Latin community. From managing my site, I will aspire to build networks that help us better understand and report what happens around here and, above all, how and why.

You can access the blog interesting open Eurasian Hub clicking here .

Moreover, I am happy to report that this week we passed 150,000 visits; to this achievement, modest but important, tackle the promise to update content more often.

A story in all languages of the world

October 1, 2009

leonraton Emilio Gutierrez is an intercultural mediator who works in the Canary Islands with young immigrants. From her "little corner of the Atlantic", Tenerife, has sent us a nice initiative: want to translate the short story "The Lion and the Mouse" to all the world's languages. For now, already has versions in several languages and major European Spanish and Russian, Esperanto, Arabic, Chinese or Japanese. From here we thought that there might be some kind readers who dare to give a boost to the story in some of the languages spoken in South Asia.

Here's the text:

"Once upon a time a mouse out of his burrow and found a huge lion. The lion wanted to eat.

- Please lion, do not eat me. Maybe someday I need.

The Lion replied:

- How should you need it, so small you are?

The lion took pity on seeing how small was the mouse and let go. One day the mouse heard a terrible roar. It was Mr. Lion.

When he arrived, he found the lion trapped in a network.

-I will save you, said the mouse.

- Do you? You're too small for the effort.

The mouse began to gnaw the rope of the net and the lion was saved.

Since that night, the two were friends forever. "

If someone wants, you can leave your version in the comments or send it directly to Emilio, in the direction euroafroamericano [@] gmail.com

Please take good care of punctuation and spelling, it will be difficult for anyone to edit submissions. That said, thank you very much in advance and happy translation.
